By Air
You can fly into Provincetown via Cape Air through Boston's Logan International Airport. The flight is a spectacular, short, 20 minute hop to Provincetown.

By Land
Car
It is approximately a 2 hour drive from Boston or Providence to Provincetown. Travel times vary with season and time of day. Parking in Provincetown is scarce.
All major rental car companies are available at Logan Airport. Should you wish to rent a car once you're in Provincetown, Enterprise Rent A Car is available at the airport. You can get information from their web site at www.enterprise.com.
Driving Directions
From points South:
- 95 North to 195 East (Exit 20 in Providence)
- Take 195 East to the end - (195 ends at 495)
- Take 495 South and go over the Bourne Bridge. (The signs will say Buzzards Bay/Falmouth) Be careful not to take 495 North or you will end up in Boston!
- Go 3/4 of the way around the rotary to Rt. 6A
- Go 3 miles on north Rt. 6A to the ramp for Rt. 6 East. Turn right.
- Take 6 East to Provincetown (approximately 70 minutes)
From Points North:
- 93 South to 3 South/Cape Cod (Be careful to take 3 South and not to stay on 93 at the split. Route 3 is accessed from the left hand lane.)
- Take 3 South to the Sagamore/Route 6 Rotary (It takes approximately 1 hour fro Boston to the rotary.)
- Go half way around the Sagamore/Route 6 Rotary.
- Take Rt. 6 East over the Sagamore Bridge and follow all the way to the end of the Cape to Provincetown. (It takes approximately 70 minutes from the rotary to Provincetown.)
Bus
Bus service to Provincetown is also available with the Plymouth and Brockton Bus Lines. Travel time is approximately four hours from Boston.

By Sea
Two high speed and one regular ferry are available from Boston to Provincetown.
Boston Harbor Cruises offers the fastest of the three - ninety minutes. This ferry sails from mid April to late October and departs from Long Wharf in Boston to MacMillan Wharf in in the center of Provincetown. Departure times vary depending on the day of travel.

Bay State Cruise Lines offers two ferries from the wharf at the World Trade Center in Boston to MacMillan Wharf in Provincetown. Their high speed ferry sails from late May to mid October. Departure times vary depending on the day of travel. The trip is two hours and costs $28 each way.
Bay State's regular ferry runs on weekends from late May 24 to mid September (daily July 1 - 7). The regular ferry departs Boston at 9:00 am and arrives Provincetown at noon. It makes a return trip to Boston at 3:30 pm and arrives there at 6:30 pm. The cost is $18 each way.
